and Website for a Composer

Role
Art Director & Web Designer
Scope
Visual direction · Web design · UX/UI · Front-end implementation

Miquel Tejada is a composer, pianist, and musical director working across film, television, and live performance. I developed his visual identity and website to reflect his artistic personality and present his work in a more distinctive, professional way.

A professional presence that felt personal

Miquel needed a website that went beyond a basic portfolio. As he looked to reach new opportunities in film and audiovisual production, he needed a more considered way to present his work, communicate his experience, and express who he was as a composer.

My role was to develop a visual identity and digital experience that felt professional without losing the personal character of his music.

From the person to the brand

I started with apersonal branding questionnaireto explore Miquel’s work, ambitions, values, and the qualities he wanted his brand to communicate.

  • Established
  • Elegant
  • Contemporary
  • Refined
  • Personal

I used these insights, alongside visual research into the industry, to develop moodboards exploring different creative directions.

The goal was to find a visual language that reflected his musical sensitivity while establishing a distinctive professional presence.

Minimal black-and-white Modern Studio wordmarks, monograms and circular logo compositions.
Circular Design Studio lettering paired with a handwritten Julia Dennis signature.
Gold geometric bird emblem on a deep teal background.
Dark purple stationery with gold linework, business cards and printed brochures.
Norwegian Crafts editorial spread with oversized white typography on ochre and navy.
Editorial layout combining serif headlines, teal and ochre blocks, and monochrome photography.
Thin-line monogram combining an M with an infinity-shaped flourish.

A personal mark for a personal craft

For Miquel, a handwritten wordmark offered a personal way to identify his music.

A refined handwritten typeface retained the character of a signature while bringing elegance and consistency to the brand.

The identity combines this personal wordmark with understated typography and a dark, sophisticated color palette.

A digital experience built around his work

I translated the visual identity into a custom website that brings Miquel’s projects, experience, and professional profile together.

The layouts, animations, and parallax effects create a more distinctive experience than a standard portfolio template.

As requested by Miquel, the site was built on Wix, this gives him the freedom to add projects and testimonials or update his content independently, without relying on a developer for everyday changes.
